Professor Monique Toullette

Professor of Higher Education, Yale University

Professor Toullette has an illustrious career in higher education with a career spanning 30 years, starting from humble beginnings as a teaching assistant in Marseilles. Her passion for education has driven her to pioneer teaching methods which have proved both successful with students and inspiring to educators.

Her session will include presentations of evidence and studies performed on teaching methods, with panel discussions attended by practitioners. She will be available for one-to-one sessions, to be booked in advance.


Doctor Gerald Montego

Head of Research, EDUcore

Helping students to learn is not just about textbooks and lectures, it’s about psychology, empathy and cultural awareness. Having taught all over the world in different types of colleges and universities, he has honed his experience of how to teach for the best results.

Dr Montego will share his experiences with attendees, and inspire and motivate educators and staff to understand what students need. He will lead with a presentation of the research performed in 2010 during his time at University of Oxford.


Sarah Majors-Silver

Financial Director, UniFinance

UniFinance is a private company that manages the financial side of running a university. They have 79 years of experience, working with every aspect of financial management within Universities of all sizes.

As Financial Director, Sarah is best placed to share the peaks and pitfalls of managing a University. She has supreme experience of university financial management, having been on the financial advisory boards of four of the UK’s most well-known universities. She will provide insight into the behind-the-scenes details that define a well-run and well-funded institution.


Mark Andrews

Head of Property Management, North East University

Running a university is not just about students and results, it’s about the well-oiled machine that keeps the buildings clean and maintained, kitchens stocked and internal IT infrastructure working. Other considerations include document storage and restoration, scientific equipment maintenance and utilities.

Mark provides invaluable information on running a large multi-use property safely and efficiently through a series of presentations and clinics, where he will be able to provide specialist advice on attendees’ specific questions and situations. He will also be available at networking events for individual attention.
