Speakers

The International Business, Economics and Marketing Conference 2023 brings together the greatest minds in business, from Managing Directors of banks to successful entrepreneurs. Our aim is to make sure that every sector and business type is represented with great experience. This range of knowledge is evident with our speakers:

Frances Maxwell-House

Managing Director, South Oak Bank

Frances has 17 years of experience in the Banking sector, and after nine years at a well-known American coffee company, she became the first woman to head up an international bank.

Frances will be presenting her story, as well the valuable life lessons that she has learnt along the way. She will also be available for some very sought-after one-to-one sessions, and information on how to book these sessions will be available soon.

Jung Kim

Chief Executive Officer, Hops and Barley Artisan Brewery

From very humble beginnings in a garden shed, Jung has built his business single-handedly from the ground up to a hugely successful brewery which exports artisan beer all over the world.

Jung will share his passion for what he does, and explain his personal journey to success with insight into the pitfalls usually experienced by small business owners. He will be available during the networking sessions for personalised discussions.

Marvin Kilner-Jarre

Technical Director, BinaryTest

BinaryTest came about when Marvin realised that there was no tech company offering pure testing and QA services only. It started as a small team of university graduates offering their QA and testing skills to any company which required them, on an on-demand basis. Now it’s a multi-million pound company with the biggest names in IT on retainer.

Marvin will talk about the challenges of keeping up with technology, as well as the demands of a tech-savvy public and clients at the pinnacle of tech development. He will also be holding workshops for IT professionals on day two of the conference.

Margaret Jones

Human Resources Director, Blenheim Dynamics

Margaret proves that a huge corporate employer can still be human, and see employees as human – she has won awards for her forward-thinking HR policies and procedures at Blenheim Dynamics. The proof of her success is in the staff turnover data.

Margaret’s session will focus on modern HR and staff policies and how investment in people is invaluable, and how companies are proactively retaining staff. She will also speak about limitations and opportunities presented by employment law.
