Performers

The Wetherspoons Carpets

The ‘Spoons (as they are also known) are best known for their pop-ska fusion tunes, and cheerful, energetic stage presence, especially from singer Ruggs. The kids will love them and you’ll not be able to get their hit ‘Swirly Patterns’ out of your head! The Wetherspoons Carpets will be headlining the Late Stage on days two and three. The five-piece band takes pride in the fact that they play their own instruments with no post-production trickery.

The Milk Floats

This band is famous for their ‘electric’ performance and are truly the cream of the crop when it comes to the lesser known genre of Glass Bottle Rock. They are only a two piece band, but you’d never know because they have the energy and passion of a full orchestra. They have honed their playlist to include some new tunes that use unusual sounds such as cheese graters and ping pong balls.

Ribena-na-na

Quench your thirst for experimental fusion rock with this berry good band! This all-women group is a festival favourite with their penchant for sparkly animal costumes and vintage guitar collection. In previous years they have made spectacular entrances to their performances, including a rather hair-raising aerobatics descent, and when they were replaced by a dozen Great Danes dressed as jockeys.

Rice Crispie Five

RCF’s brilliant performances will have your ears going snap, crackle and pop. Speaking of pop, their brand of sunny cheerful tunes will lift your mood, even if a crow has just stolen your artisan gelato. RCF have been known to do surprise breakfast-time collaboration performances with The Milk Floats, so make sure that you keep an ear open for that!
